At one time, patients with vein disease had very few treatment options. Some underwent a procedure commonly known as “vein stripping,” which was an inpatient surgery that required general anesthesia, hospital admission, and a long, painful recovery period during which patients had to take off time from work or school. Thankfully, those days are behind us!
All of the varicose vein treatments performed at Texas Endovascular are minimally invasive, outpatient procedures. Dr. Fox and Dr. Hardee treat their patients in their office, without the need for general anesthesia or sedation. There is little or no recovery time needed. In fact, patients may resume normal activity right away after leaving the office. Most are able to return to work the same day they are treated.
The following are some of the most common procedures we perform. If you require treatment for vein disease, our physicians will advise you about which methods will work best to treat your individual condition.
- Diagnostic ultrasound evaluation
- Ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy
- Cosmetic sclerotherapy
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Radiofrequency perforator ablation
- Ambulatory phlebectomy (varicose vein removal)
